A village in France is interested in twinning with Raglan Village.
This is a small village called Parcé in the Sarthe region of France (about half an hour's drive from Le Mans).
It's a beautiful & quiet little spot on a river, has 2,000 inhabitants, and is a farming area with 17 working farms. Parcé is a lively little community with lots of groups and activities, two primary schools and an active church.
Raglan and Parcé are both concerned about the expense and the formalities that an official twinning would entail, and Parcé are looking for something less formal: a friendly link between two comparable villages.
It would be up to both sets of councillors to say exactly what this could entail, but part of the aim would be to enable both populations to benefit from a base in the other's country.
Raglan Community Councillors have recently suggested setting up a small Committee for this and any one interested please contact Steve Thomas
